Abdullah Al-Shaksy
Co-Founder & CEO
Abdullah has over 10+ years experience in investing in public & private equities, and serves on the boards of several of Phaze Ventures’ US, European and Middle East based portfolio companies. Abdullah is also a guest lecturer for Finance and Entrepreneurship, and has served as an advisor and mentor to multiple startup programs.
Abdullah previously headed group operations and investments for Shaksy Group, and was a general partner of the SparkLabs Energy accelerator.
Mohammed Al-Wahaibi
Co-Founder & Partner
Mohammed is a board member of the Assarain Group of companies and lead the restructure and governance at his family conglomerate as well as chairs his family’s charitable organization. Mohammed serves on the board of PhazeRo, Oman’s first full fledged data science consultancy, and is an advisor to several of Phaze Ventures’ portfolio companies.
Mohammed has several years experience in engineering, operational, and investment roles in Oman & UK and was also a general partner of the SparkLabs Energy accelerator.
Masoud Al-Rawahi
Co-Founder & Partner
Masoud is the Founder and CEO of Data Science consultancy Phazero, a member of the UK-Oman Digital Hub, an advisory board member of German University of Technology in Oman & Sultan Qaboos University, and a mentor at Mysk Foundation.
Prior to starting his entrepreneurial and investment career, Masoud gained 10+ years experience in corporate information technology in US & Oman. Masoud was also a general partner of the SparkLabs Energy Accelerator.
Mohammed Al-Sajwani
Head of Investor Relations
Mohamed has several years of experience in relationship management in banking and financing, having previously worked at Bank Muscat in Oman and JEO Capital Management in both Oman and Bahrain.
In addition to his previous full-time roles, Mohamed has also supported founders and business with fundraising and customer acquisition. Mohamed holds a bachelors in Business Management from Western Michigan University.
Kamilya Al-Shaibani
Head of Finance & Admin
Kamilya joined Phaze Ventures in 2018 and has overseen the fund’s growth over the years. She was involved in the fund set-up, management, reporting and LP engagement.
In addition to her core role, she has also been a part of Phaze Ventures’ ecosystem activities including active engagement with regulators and policy makers within Oman. Kamilya holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Brighton, and has also completed her ACCA.
Hood Al-Farsi
Analyst
Hood joined Phaze Ventures in 2024 as an Analyst to manage our deal pipeline, due diligence, market research, as well as support with portfolio management. He is also an active member of the local startup ecosystem and is an alumni of Oman’s National Youth Program.
Hood holds a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, where he double-majored in Finance (Corporate & Investment Analysis) and Computer Information Systems (CIS).
